Hey guys, new to this forum, prolly seen me on others or at the parks and I apologize for that.
Looks like I'm moving your way soon, hopefully the job I'm interviewing with makes an offer. It's happened so fast, still can't believe it's real.
The job is in Research Park, and I like to be as close as possible to work, but i also need room to wrench on my junk.... which is junk...
So I don't want to pay over $1000/mo in rent and garage/carport space is 100% more important than livable space. No wife no kids...
Any leads would be greatly appreciated...

Hey man,
Glad to have you coming up this way. It will be nice to have another Cruiser guy up here. And sorry, I don't have any help on the rent space but I imagine someone here will.

The real reason I'm moving is to steal your drivetrain...

Welcome to the board.
That's a cool looking cruiser. You ever wheeled up this way before?
Just curious, what company are you interviewing with?
I have no leads on anywhere to rent , but I've got tons of toyota parts.

Sherwood Park / Robinhood Ln area. Lots of rental houses in there. Most have garages. Built in the 70's; rent should not be too bad. It's right in the middle of Research Park.

That's cool. Just wondering if it might be the same company I work for.

Awesome build on the hybrid axle. My next project will be getting an FJ62 front axle for the same reason. I don't think I will need the 80 series outers, just mainly the 9.5" diff. ------------- TOYOTA FOUR WHEEL DRIVE................need I say more?

Good info, but I think you missed the comment below my picture in the first post... Unless there are apartments with all that and I don't annoy the neighbors!

Sorry about that... but some of the apartments in the area have garage space so wanted to offer up the info anyway.

Cool! I'd like the idea of a cost of an apartment more than a house... but even I'd be pissed if my connecting neighbor was angle grinding from 6-9 every evening.

The ones with garages are more than a decent size house rents for. I'd avoid the west side of Govenors drive and Drake ave area west of the parkway.

When I first moved up here, I lived in Highland pointe apt. (196 Jeff Rd, madison al) It's definitely on the more expensive side, but they do have garages. You can find good apt, it's the garage that's the hard part (and most are strict about working in them).
did you do minibaja at Auburn? Name seems familiar...

Eric, damn bud. I may have to move back to Huntsville so I can wheel with you again. Good luck on the Job, and these Rocket City Guys are great people.

Bring it! That'd be awesome!
I didn't get the job that I was interviewing for. But that's OK. Maybe next time i won't be so brutally honest as to why I'm moving to North AL.... which is being in the nerve center of southern offroading and a couple of hours in any direction to parks.

We started looking for a place to rent for my Daughter, and found this:
http://realestate.al.com/?classification=real+estate&temp_type=detail&tp=RE_bama&property=al.com&finder=rent&ad_id=533278861 - http://realestate.al.com/?classification=real+estate&temp_type=detail&tp=RE_bama&property=al.com&finder=rent&ad_id=533278861
Close to research park, nice 'hood, fenced yard etc with detached mancave for wrenching....
