Mythical impending Lawsuit or not - once the trails are "un-done", there is NO way they are gonna be brought back...right?

No money to maintaine the trails, but plenty of money to destroy them.

Really. This is so evil.  We couoldnt get $100K annually for maintenance, and now my own government is going to spend $1M to $5M to destroy that which I worked so hard to help create and maintain.  This is so wrong.  These people have no morals or ethics.

Next they will begin taking bids on a reclamation project to repair the land after all the dozers, skidders and trackhoes finish annihilating the valley.   Have somebody go test the water after they get this little enviro-friendly project underway and tell me the water is within federal requirements.  Especially when one of them pukes a hundred gallons of hydraulic fluid on the ground.

I am going to send this to Sen Shelby and Sessions and Rep Griffith and my old high-school buddy Sen Wamp from Tn and ask them to investigate why there was never any money for maintenance as we have asked for many years, yet there is seeming huge $$$ to destroy something that was a money-maker for the local economies up there.

Before they take out all the trails-lets get as many as we can and remove all vehicle tags-leave your license at home and trespass the shit out of the place --they don't have enough man power to arrest but just a few and I'll help pony up the funds to bail out the unlucky. Who's in?

Civil Disobedience.  That sounds like fun, like something I have been wanting to do for a long time.  Who's willing to stand up for what they believe in?

I wonder if the tree-hugging hippies would then consider us "trail-huggers". Confused

I'd proudly wear that title.

Yet again, someone gripes and eventually gets their way, causing grief to lots of other people. Angry

Doc I hope you have more luck from your friend in Tn than I've had with the AL gang.  All I get from them are form letters and I can't do anything because it not in my state, or I'll look into it and get back to you.

They'll try to arrest everyone they can and intimidate the rest. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see a trail in happen. I just don't think we can get the numbers we would need for everybody not to just end up in jail. Now if we could get 1000 people to show up with rigs that might be a different story.

Could they arrest if it was done peacefully and with some sort of protest rally permit?

Good luck getting a permit and they would say we are still trespassing on our land.
