| I know I've read of people riding in Killingsworth Cove but I've also hear of people riding just beyond that on hwy65 at the CR 106 in Bringham Cove. Anyone know anything about this area? |

It depends on the day. Easter ride will prolly take you all day. Any other time it would just depend on your driving. 3-4 hours maybe. Ive started at the bottom of Stairsteps and came down Bingham side before around lunch, then rode to Estill Fork . But that was just me and another truck so stops to BS were minimal.

If you know how to drive your CJ , 33"s wont hold you back much . I would also advise you rode with somebody that knows stairsteps . There is a nasty mud hole that will swallow a full size truck , and some forks in the road at the top . ------------- www.DamnLocals4x4.com |

I'm not familiar with the areas where these trails are located but this trail you are speaking of, is it the same one myself and the RC group went on last weekend before arriving at the picnic/camping area?

| When you mentioned mud hole, I'm thinking we may be talking about the same trail. That one hole completely swallowed my rig almost instantly. As for the rest of the trail, I didn't have any issues with having 33's and open-diffs but I would definitely go with someone familiar with the trails. With all of the splits and forks, you could easily get in way beyond a semi-stock rig's limits. Having an experienced driver in front of you will give you an idea of the lines you either need to take or avoid. |

The mud hole Im talking about has a underground spring under it. The last time we dealt with a truck in it , it took 2 warn 8274's ,2 snatch blocks ,and 2 highlift jacks to get a fullsize blazer out. Theres also 2 full size Chevy rear bumpers in that hole somewhere. I dont think you were in that one but there is also some other nasty holes up there ; you prob hit one of those....... ------------- www.DamnLocals4x4.com |

This is the same one I got buried in. Probably doesn't help you much though but it's directly below the picnic/camping area.

That looks like its on the club property ,which Ive never been on. But it also looks like it could be the area I call the 'mudholes' where theres like 5 to 8 mudholes in one little area coming up the main trail. ------------- www.DamnLocals4x4.com |

If you go up Killingsworth Cove and out the Bingham side, you do not cross the mudhole pictured.

I see that my info is useless here. 
I think I was blindfolded driving out there because I couldn't for the life of me, tell anyone how to get to where ever it was we were. I just know I had a blast and got stuck in a really deep friggin' hole.

yeah, I think there are some holes up there that could swallow a full size chevy
and bingham is a pretty easy ride to the power lines. ------------- I'll take the dirt road, it's all I know. |

I know for a fact there's some holes up there that can swallow a full size chevy. I sunk my K10 on 36s to the point I was worried about getting mud/water into the air filter. John |
