"House Bill 39, sponsored by Representative Proncey Robertson, and Senate Bill 47, sponsored by Senator Randy Price, create a new statewide, uniform system to provide lifetime permits for qualified applicants at the cost of $200. For state residents over 65, the fee drops to $150. HB 39 and SB 47 are companion bills and we need both measures passed to secure passage of this critical legislation." They planning on ripping off us senior citizens again.

I should not have to pay to exercise a right that my Constitution clearly states "shall not be infringed". While I applaud Alabama's largely positive support of 2nd Amendment, this licensing of my right is clearly infringement of that right. ------------- "If you didnt buy your 1st gen 4Runner new, then YOU are a newbie!!" If I buy a pistol permit for 1 year, I get 1 courtesy copy free...if I lose it. If I buy a pistol permit for 5 years, I only get 1 courtesy copy. If I buy a lifetime permit, am I only going to get one courtesy copy? That's a lot of pressure on me not to lose it.
