and a 2,900 acre expansion of Arches National Park. Offroad vehicle
groups successfully fought for a zero net loss deal, so for each mile of
off-road vehicle trail closed, another will be opened elsewhere."

Will definitely be interesting to see how much each"stakeholder" group wins in a deal. Thankfully they are involved and someone in DC is taking note.

I am a good friend with a moab resident (he's a crew member on the race team) He's been living in moab a few years now. He says without EJS and all of the other off road tourism, moab will suffer even more than it already does.
The locals don't like the 4wd traffic, but the business owners and city politicians LOVE the money that it generates. I believe you will see "just enough" council members vote to continue to allow access for a long time to come. The free market works.
