    Posted: 12 July 2012 at 2:14am

We are planning a night ride at Hale Mtn OHV Park on Saturday night August 11.  The ride will be open to RCRC members and non-members.  Post up if you are interested in going.

The park charges $15/person if you arrive late Saturday afternoon and leave before daylight Sunday morning (on edit: MUST LEAVE BEFORE 2AM).  If you decide to ride/camp both Sat & Sun, you must pay for both days.

We plan on getting there about 6pm Sat and leaving ?????.

Spoke with Cole this evening.  Sound like 6 to 8 rigs coming with him.

Ken, I've had a couple of people ask me about food.  Do you know if the park folks plan on cooking in the late afternoon or evening?

I'm new around here and am considering coming out for this event. I've never been to Hale Mountain OHV. Is this the correct location: http://goo.gl/maps/Npxgg

Ditto.  It's just another couple of hundreds yards past the "B" on your map.  If you click the satelite view on the map, you can see the parking/pay area.  Its the open area with the buildings.

Come on out.  We will be in a white TJ on CB Ch 4.  We plan on getting there about 5pm or 6pm.  If you have never been there, the pay and park area is at the bottom of the mtn.  Most folks end up congregating at the pavilion/camping area on the top of the mtn.  Just ask them for directions when you check in.  You can print a map from their web page.

If you can use a .gpx file of the park trails, PM me your email and I will send you the latest one I have.

Had a great time, we couldn't have asked for better weather.  It was even a bit cool on the ride back, but I'll trade that for no sweat and no mosquitos any day! Thumbs Up
