Saturday September 8-9, weather permitting, I am taking a group going to Hale Mountain Offroad Park (http://www.halemountainohvpark.com/about.html). We will be riding a bunch of trails, all fairly easy with a few challenges here and there. Some of us plan on camping saturday night pending weather.

We plan on meeting at Gander Mountain at 8 am and leaving by 8:30.

$15 a day per person camping is free with two day gate fee. Mrs. Peggy (owner) will have hamburgers and hotdogs for sale for lunch Saturday.

Here is a link to the Facebook event.

Anyone is welcome to join us.
If you miss the convoy you can meet us there, my CB will be on Channel 4 as usual.

The ride was good. Had about 10 jeeps or so. Started out slightly muddy, then when we stopped for lunch at the top it rained for an hour or so. We made a loop around the back side of the park, but due to the mud, everyone was sliding around. Most everyone left around 4:15. The 4 of us who stayed watched a bright orange Jimmy Smith buggy on the waterfall, and Sweet Baby. At that point the day got even better for the few left because the owner of the buggy gave us a chance behind the wheel of this awesome buggy!

All in all, it was an awesome day. Thanks again go out to the crew at Hale Mountain OHV Park. We will be back.
