why dont we ride the land trust trails?  the one by the parking lot on bankhead is getting pretty good, i went there today and it would be a fun little ride, i had to pull my winch line twice.

I thought that trail turned into a fourwheeler 100 yards after the second hole...

The last time i was on that trail they had come in with a bulldozer and backhoe and made some killer tank traps across the trail preventing any further progress past the 2nd hole.  That was a few years ago tho...has all that changed?

I hiked all the way to the end of it the other day. It kinda turns into a 4 wheeler trail then eventually comes out to a construction area of some sort.

Just a little background.  I grew up all my life on top of Monte Sano.  At one time that lot was one of the best fossil beds in north alabama.  Monte Sano Elementary school use to take all the fourth grade classes over there to kike and look for fossils.  I have to admitt I was pissed when I saw a bunch of jeeps back there making a mud hole out of the flat lot.  That is where all the fossils use to be.  I don't know what happend but I can't get an answer out of anyone at landtrust.  They seem to not mind that people are back there.  So I guess go ahead.  I still won't ride it, but there is nothing left to protect now.
