Has anyone used these? I'm tempted to try them out.

I have not used them but I'm going to try them. I'm done buying crappy drill bits and supporting the red chinese communist party.

Theres a bunch of USA made drill manufacturers still. Triumph, Viking, Cleveland twist drill, Chicago latrobe, precision twist drill, norseman, Jarvis, Melin, knkut, and I'm sure there are others. Msc and mcmaster Carr have a line of house brand "made in usa" bits as well. You can find them pretty much anywhere except big box stores.
135 degree split points might be worth using in a drill press. They will walk less vs 118 degree. Cobalt bits will hold up longer and put up with a higher rpm. Drill presses arent rigid enough for carbide drills unless they are big industrial machines. Edited by 83K10 - 02 March 2021 at 6:30pm |
