hmmm, I remember them "accidentally" doing the same thing with the JL last year.

Personally Hope that isn't it. If it is I'm sure glad they didn't use the Scrambler name. I saw pics just before this that actually looked like a new Scrambler (all one tub) as opposed to this truck (cab and seperate bed). I think FCA may be trolling someone (I hope). |

I would rather it say Scrambler than use a J-series name. The J-series was always a full size half or 3 quarter ton pickup. Either way in 20 years when I can afford it I would still rather have a rusty gutless 360 powered gladiator.

So what your are saying is that the FSJ folks are as upset with this thing as the Scrambler folks are. Neither wants our names associated with it ;) Really the cab/bed design is more a truck design than a Scrambler where the bed and cab were all one tub with a bolt in divider. I feel that lead to a more versitile design, not something this design is showing. Robert

I like the design and may very well order one with the Ecodiesel. We'll see what the timing looks like on that since the '19 Ram and JL are not out with it yet. Probably a '20 option.
They are also going to build a Dakota on the same line, so I'm sure there is some amount of similarity underneath the outer jeep metal that allows for a more Ramish appearance. |
