Growing up in the Birmingham area, I've certainly seen it.  My Dad even testified as a Professional Geologist in the "Super Sewer" proceedings.  Some of the corruption in that whole debacle would make your head spin.  They actually wanted to run a sewer line underneath the Cahaba River criss-crossing it a number of times.  It's where most of the Birmingham area gets it's drinking water!  No-bid contract as well and work even began before any taxpayer had even heard of it.  Morons.  

Trivia fact of the day:

Vivian Malone Jones, who was part of George Wallace's famous "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door", was Eric Holder's sister in law.

That doorway was across a parking lot from my grad student office when I was a masters student at Alabama.  The roots run deep for Mr. Holder.
