So I guess we will make it impossible for a passenger to use a cell phone. Maybe I'm just an exceptional driver but the few times Cindy has used a cell phone while I was driving didn't seem to be distract my attention from my driving responsiblilities. If this cell phone blocker is put in cars I guess it would only be active when the engine is running? Great, now we'll have idiots turning the key off while they are cruising down the highway so they can make a call.

So I guess we're going to have to have radio jammers as well so no one can play with their radio while driving down the road.....

Yep! No FM, no AM, no HAM, and no satellite for the GPS! You think Onstar will have issues?

The technology that I read about said it would only block the driver from using a cell phone and not any of the passengers.

How will it only block the drivers and not the passengers. If this is a scrambling device that's impossible.

That's what the article said, but I saw it awhile ago and don't even remember where I saw it.

I guess there will be a "cone of silence" around the driver.

My Jeep provides me with an inverse cone of silence, I guess you could call it a cone of noise. Whatever you call it, it's is too loud to try and make a cell phone call while driving.
