Not for me but a relative-H'ville area. Who can you trust-I believe a complete new system is needed. Steve C

They are in Scottsboro but they will do wrk in H'ville. My cousin is part owners and also a fellow wheeler. They just installed a new unit in our house last summer and have done a lot of work for people I know.
Ask to speak with Glen. He will be the one who does the estimates. He is 100% trustworthy.

I used Valley Heating & Cooling when I had my system replaced a few years ago. Was very happy with the work and their service after the sale.

Thanks Nick. I talked to Glen and we wanted me to call All Season's Huntsville office. We've got repair estimates that range from 3,150 all the way up to 14,500.

Try AAA Fix It - 679-2199. He's a neighbor of ours and he sponsored KOTH 2 or 3 times. His name is Marvin, he's a good guy.

Steve - if you can find someone to order the stuff @ cost for you and just pay them for the hourly plus materials you're WAY better off.
When we thought ours was going out last year, I was amazed at how much these guys were going to make profit for simply throwing another package unit on the pad and hooking up the gas line. |

When we got estimates on ours last year, they ranged from 5600 to 14k. One of them quoted it without even coming out, just asked what brand & tonnage others had quoted and his phone estimate was within $100 of the other. So the really funny thing is we called him out for an estimate 2 months later, he hadn't been here before so didn't remember me. Same dude gave a price of $1200 less for a slightly higher model, so 2 days later we got a new unit. Moral: call several, you might find one is hungry.

I've tried to order some new HVAC units in the past but the Wholesalers I talked to would only sell to a contractor. Nashville have a cash and carry place?

I believe Goodman can be ordered by anyone off the street. I usually go through my cousin or a former employee because either will order units for me and not rip me off marking them up. I'll check around and see if there is a C&C place up here and get back to you...
