I get home the night of the 21st from Afghanistan and would like to meet up with fellow jeepers.  I am new to Huntsville.  I will be there from the 21st (late) until the morning of the 28th.  I know the 24th and the 25th are out, but any other night I would love to meet some of the people.  I will have my 5 year old so it kinda needs to be kid friendly.  I haven't seen him for 8 months so I would like to include him.

Anyway, let me know!  I look forward to it if it works out.

I will escort you and your son to the RCRC property.  Yall can ride with me in my Toyota (I know that riding in a Toyota can be kinda emotionally difficult for you Jeep weenies) and we can wander around on the KC 40 property and eat a picnic lunch or whatever and then head back.  Or you can follw me in your rig.  I'll be off most of the time Around Christmas and New years, and will be hading up there to hunt or howl at the moon etc.

Well, looking at what the wife has planned, I can do it on either the afternoon of  the 24th or on the 27th.  Does that work for anyone?  That is a Friday and a Monday.

Do you know where the McDonald's is at the corner of highway 72 and Shields Road?  That's typically an easy place to meet.  We can have someone meet you there and lead you to the trailhead where everyone else will be waiting.

If you take Moores Mill towards highway 72E, take a left on 72 and McDonald's will be at the next intersection.  You can't miss it! Wink

Eduardo,
It may be pretty slick on Monday - not to discourage you from it totally but I think I met you at the last meeting and you described your truck to me.  If it is in fact wet Monday, the time up the mountain could easily double and vehicle damage is pretty likely if you are open front and rear and don't have much of a lift or more than an A/T tire.

Remind me what you've got and maybe we can assess it a little better.

Guys:

My Jeep has not arrived from Collins Brothers in Texas.  It was supposed to be here on the 21st and it is not here yet.  Needless to say, I am not exactly enamored with them right now.  I hate that I cannot go.  I leave to go on vacation on Tuesday with Meagan and my son.  Sorry for the late post.  I was hoping it would show up before tomorrow.

Tim,
Real sorry you couldn't ride with us.  Probably not as upset about it as you are.  Hope you Scrambler made it ok to Huntsville.

We did have a fun ride yesterday!
Cold, but very fun.

Here are my pictures.

It was very fun. My wife was amazed at the teamwork from everybody, and I appreciated it very much! Hopefully the next time I just won't need quite so much of it! Hate that you missed it, Tim. Be safe.

I enjoyed meeting everyone.  The Scrambler came in at around midnight that night, so I did get a chance to drive it.  It looks and drives great.  Now I just need to get it dirty when I get back.
