Hi...  My name is Lee Anna Wright and I'm the Membership Chairman for RCRC.  We would be glad to have you join us at any of our upcoming events.  Our Events Calendar is posted on our website at http://www.rocketcityrockcrawlers.com/calendar/default.htm.

Here is some general information about our club: http://www.rocketcityrockcrawlers.com/about_us.htm

Our monthly meeting is the first Thursday of each month at Golden Rule BBQ in Madison (next one scheduled 2/5/09).  The meeting starts at 7:00, but we all usually get there around 6:00 to eat.  At each meeting, we typically set up a ride or two for the month.

Along with club rides, our club puts on the "King of the Hill" event annually.  Check http://www.koth4x4.com for some great pictures!

If I can answer any questions, please let me know....

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Lee Anna Wright, RCRC Secretary/Membership Director

Welcome to RCRC!

Nice lookin' rigs.  I guess I need to recruit me a few Nissans.  I'm not used to being a minority. LOL

Where have you been wheeling at that you're tired of?  I can't find any places to go in the nearby area.  At least none that are legal anyways.  I usually just save up my pennies and drive up to Coal Creek/Windrock every couple of months to get my fix.

It's about time we get some new toyota guys on this board. We were starting to get overrun with Heeps around here. LOL

I enjoyed watching cheapj7's Toyota spankin' some jeep booty at last years KOTH it sounds like he's coming back for more. This year he's even got new paint, so he'll be blingin' as he does it.

Jon, got any pics of the hood? I saw your pics on hardline. I'm diggin' the "herbie the love bug"  stripes on the hood. Cool

Family's private land mostly.  I hit Coal Mine mtn. in new market right near the tenn. al. line a good bit and a few other places roundabout here.

I've got a few co-workers that hit Coal Mine every now and then but I've never been.  I need to go check it out once I get mine ready for the trails again.  It's in dire need of some TLC and this friggin' weather isn't helping.

Oh I'd love to but mine is stuck to DD duties for the time being.  I've got to drain/fill my diffs, t-case and tranny but the weather is holding me back.  I don't have a garage and my xterra won't fit in my buddy's garage without removing the whole roof rack which I'm not about to do.

Not to mention, I'm a little gun shy after my last trip up to Coal Creek.  I was about 6" away from writing my rig off as stolen. Shocked

What makes this so bad is the fact that I was parked!!!  It was so slick that day.  I was actually calling ahead to the trail leader letting him know that we were going to have to strap up the guy in the middle and right when I hung up my cb, I just started sliding backwards.  Got winched out and drove it home.  No dents, dings or bends in it amazingly.

Yep...  that pretty much sums it up.  My buddy took that photo.  I'm still inside with all of my gear piled on my driver's side windows.  That was in my top 10 of hairiest situations I've gotten myself into.  Definitely left a ridge in the seat. hahaha
