You know ghost towns to me are a thing of the past, you know old mining towns and such. The government is creating modern day ghost towns with closures of OUR public lands. Tellico Plains, Cape Hatteras...the economy of these places depend on the tourists to come in and buy stuff and support the local businesses, when you close down the main attraction, no one comes, and people start to move out. So much for "creating jobs."
You know if these birds were a important part of the ecology of this area and it was humans directly that caused their low numbers (like the bald eagle) then yea, I might understand a little better. but to me this is a "survival of the fittest." If those birds are not adapting to the enviromental changes then, well, maybe its their time.
I sure am glad enviromentalists were not around with the dinos, or else we'd a bunch of T-rexs runnin all over the place...some species just weren't meant to stick around.

I couldn't agree more. If a coyote can live under a railroad bridge on Madison Pike then a bird should be able to fly somewhere safe to lay their eggs. 28,000 miles of Atlantic coastline to pick from. ![]() |

Yall dont understand the progressivism. Humans are the parasite, and we should be creating "human free zones". Private property is a relic of the past, a notion that fools like Thomas Jefferson et al embraced hundreds of years ago, and we need to move beyond.
I hope yall can recognize sarcasm when you step in it....
