Hi Brock.  Wlecome to the forum.  My name is Lee Anna Wright and I'm the Membership Chairman for RCRC.

To answer your most important question first... yes, we have lots of female participation.  Some ride with their husbands, some share driving with their husbands (like myself), and some have their own vehicles.   So bring your girlfriend along... we'll help you get her interested in off-roading.

You can go here to find out some general info about our club: http://www.rocketcityrockcrawlers.com/about_us.htm

Our next monthly meeting is Thursday, March 4th, at Newk's on University Drive in Huntsville.  I know it might be a long way for you, but this is the best way to meet us and get involved.  We talk about past rides and set up new rides for the following month.  We are typically there until at least 8:00, so if you are a little late, it won't be a problem.

It may be a little late notice, but we will be riding at Hale Mountain OHV this Saturday and you're welcome to join us there too.  http://www.halemountainohvpark.com/home.html

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
LA

Thanks, and she will be happy to know that. I am leaving Monday to go out of town so I can't make this meeting or the ride this weekend, but I should be able to attend the next one.  Thanks for the warm welcome.

Thanks man.  I love it, and it gets like a scalded dog down the road even with 37's.  I drive it to auburn and back every other weekend, and it runs 75-80mph no problem.  I guess the supercharger and the 4.88's help though...ha

Very nice rig ! Thumbs Up

We'd love to have you come wheel with us. There are a lot of toyota guys in the club and there are a TON of other toyota guys I wheel with from north alabama. Most of us all have the older trucks, but I do have two buddies who have SAS tacos. Sounds like yours is built with some nice stuff. That's quiet a spec list.Wink

Anyways, welcome to RCRC. Hope to get to wheel with you some time.  Thumbs Up

It's on the old map the park used to give out, I'll look for mine tomorrow.  It runs from the campground to the boat ramp at Morgan's Cove on Guntersville.  Public land, I think, or at least it used to be.

EDIT:
Here's a map, primitive campground trail is the one, it follows South Sauty Creek.

Page 4 is the one except where they have the trail turning and going to the pier, it actually goes across the creek. It's not really the technical or long (a stock 4x4 could make it dry) but the view is awesome and there is a great primitive campground that is just deep enough to get my ski boat to right in the middle. Lots of room to swim also

Are you in Auburn now?  If so, PM me your number.

This Saturday is RockTober.  There should be a pretty decent turnout, and a band on Saturday night.  There are a few things to do in your truck out there as of now, such as the Federal Firebreak (5+ mile trail around the outskirt of the park) and the Trench (if you have sliders).

Forgot to mention, the trench you at least need a rear locker.

Just 4wd for federal firebreak.
