Membership has prerequisites of attending 2 meetings and 2 rides.  Come to a meeting and that's best way to get start finding out where/when rides are happening.

RCRC membership dues are $55 per year. That includes your membership in Southern Four Wheel Drive Association (SFWDA) and United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA).

We have a meeting tonight if you are able to attend.  7:00 at Newk's on University Drive

Recommendations for a CB is keep it simple.  Cobra 18WX or a Cobra 19DX is a popular, reliable and simple unit.

In the trunk area there is a storage compartment ie: cubby hole. You need to lift that lid and you should see the lug wrench/and jack.  For a C.B. radio, I bought a Cobra 75 wx st.  I bought mine on ebay, it was about $80.  Which model JK did you get.

This probably would be a good first ride.  You can watch the difficult obstacles and see what its all about.  Of course, we cant account for what other fools outside RCRC might be doing there.  Sometimes, it's entertaining!

While CB's are very nice to have, don't let it keep you from coming on a ride. I still don't have a CB in my jeep but I have put one in my wife's CJ.

Don't let not having a CB stop you.  Keep your rig in the middle of the group and if you should need help there'll always be someone behind you.

Hmm - There's a difference between owning and liking yellow jeeps.  When I bought it five years ago it was five years old and was bought as a "farm tool".  I've never really cared what color my tools were.  I once owned a purple and green chain saw and I bought it new.  At this point I can't really claim to like or dislike the yellow.  I'm more interested in where it can go, both on and off the farm.

Well you can pick up a lug wrench anywhere.  The jacks are a little pricier to come by. Wink

And if you had thought to check for the jack and lug wrench then you went way more in-depth in your pre-purchase inspection than I would have. LOL
