I think the response was to the point. I wonder if we'll be able to get them to over turn their decision?

this far in it seems closure os inevitable the gov has it bs to hide behide to close it. They are not gonna admit they spent the money elsewhere and it is there fault for not keeping up the lands. We will all be left holding the bag for the problems.

from the pics off pirate I believe TU is in for a HUGE suprise once all the MUD and waste from the logging makes its way into the stream this winter.  I LOVE Wheeling Tellico and tried to make a trip at least twice a year since 93', but I bet if you dig deep enough there is some ranking government offical that is making a mint off the logging, TU, and the USFS.  I remember when school bus was only a foot deep at most.  It wasn't the wheelers that dug it out it was the CAT Dozer ran by the USFS that made ditches out of those trails.  All of this makes my stomach turn to think of all of the money, time, and labor the 4 wheel community has put into TELLICO just to have the door slammed in our face.  sorry to vent but just my 2 cents

My question here is there a means to get water turbidity tests conducted now once the logging has taken place to test the levels of silt in the river?  That would go a long way in this fight.  That river needs to be tested right now!

Some good comments, but don't just post your comments here, post them on the SFWDA Forum where the Rescue Tellico people will read them.
