What is everyone's opinion on using balance beads on 35" or larger tires?

They work great but go on the heavy side of the range. I've got them in a bunch of my truck tires.

X2
It's the only way I could get my 40" tires to get any where near ballanced.

I did not like them in a 35" tire.  BUT, part of my issue was that one of my new steel rims wobbled.  I got tired of fighting with my old tires and got new quality rims/tires which balanced well without beads.

probably need them for a larger tire, as others have said.

Go to Amazon and search on balance beads.  Then read the recent reviews from folks who have tried them.

I use the internal weighted tire patches, but they are a real pain to use.

I had a horrible experience with them on stock BF Goodrich MT tires that they put on stock Rubicons.  The original versions of the same model wore just fine, so I decided to get new ones.  The model had changed slightly.  They couldn't balance them.  PEP Boys talked me into getting the beads and they were way worse than the normal weights.  They must not have done it right or maybe the set was bad.  I ended up getting a new set of BF Goodrich AT's TAs like I've always used in the past and they balanced like normal.  Who knows.  I'm glad they normally work for folks.

Chris, that seems to be some people's experience.  I've read a lot of reviews of balance beads, some people report great results and others not so much.
