Not my pic but is from last night of the fire just north of Durango on Hwy. 550. Over 3900 acres burned and more than 1000 homes have been evacuated.

Working right down the road from this at Mesa Verde NP. Altitude makes it hard enough to catch my breath sometimes and for a few days when the wind was just right the smoke made it worst.

The San Juan National Forest north of Durango was beautiful country, I went elk hunting there in 2001.  My how time gets away from you...

Really growing. Glad I was able to drive up thru there a couple weeks ago. People and their homes are one thing but I think about the wildlife.https://www.outtherecolorado.com/fire-near-durango-continues-to-rapidly-grow-reaches-5100-acres/
