Before the 2013 Regular Session began, House Republicans promised in our ‘We Dare Defend Our Rights’ Agenda that strengthening gun rights would take priority.  

I’m proud to tell you that we’ve kept our promise. 
Last week marked the House passage of two landmark pieces of gun-rights legislation.  The Alabama Firearms Protection Amendment and the  compromise version of the omnibus bill that came to us from the Senate will ensure that the 2^nd Amendment is stronger than ever in Alabama.

With 
President Obama dead set on limiting our right to bear arms, it has been
 imperative for us to push legislation that would defend this important 
constitutional right for Alabamians.  That’s why your Republican 
lawmakers have poised our state to have the strongest firearms protection laws in the country.  

Take a 
moment to watch as Representative Ed Henry talks about the omnibus gun 
bill, and why House Republicans are committed to keeping their promises 
and fighting for legislation that protects your freedoms and values.
