I'm thinking about entering the competition this year in the limited small class.  Are any of you guys going to enter?  I know JR Hall is planning on it.  I haven't been to one so I don't know where it is.  Does anyone have a map or directions to where it's going to be.  Also I am going to try to make it to next months meeting.  I also noticed there will be a workday the weekend before the competition.  I would gladly help with if help is needed.

its a danny's house...directions will be on our website closer to the event...but if you know where Brewer highschool is, just go there and follow the signs....if not....just get on Hwy 36 headed towards the interstate, then turn left at the 4way stop (hwy67), then go till you see brewer highschool then follow the signs...

sorry jr...ha...im sure mo will try to do something...

this is not a UROC event like the previous years...so it shouldn't matter if RCRC members compete...doc?...i dont' see why, its not like RCRC members ever wheel danny's house...

RCRC members are not allowed to compete because that's a club policy we set up when we started putting on events. It does not matter if it's a UROC, RCAA or a RCRC event.

Now if you are not a member and work or compete at the event it counts as a trail ride if you decide to join RCRC.

Thanks,

from what i have heard it is suppose to be a section of rocks taped off with a gate at each end. once you enter the gate, clock starts and ends when you go thru the other gate. Doc? i am startin to round up spares parts just in case the inevitable happens.

Heres the deal... Ive contacted 4 other shops and invited them to assist RCO with sponsoring merchandise...I can tell you now... no dual cases, no set of tires, etc... I have one confirmed associate sponsor they are willing to give a gift certificate... PLUS THE $500.00 LEVEL SPONSORSHIP! Next week i should have confirmation on the other 3 i have contacted.

Im not looking to "Pimp out" any one persons ride more than another... it would not be fair for 2nd place to get more than 1st...

In the morning i will post excerpts of the proposal so everyone will see what im after.

Walker... i'll set u up with the krawlers and winch for $500 if i can pick the driver to pilot your rubicon... i will however require your wheels and tires in trade. Peep that...

i was thinkin the same of yur jeep!!!!!!  hopfully the recovery team will consist of more than some ol stock jeep with a winch. i would be better havn nick stand on the side of my truck andsettn it back on all fours than take the chance some average street truck try to get close enough to hook a winch to it.

There's a good idea. We'll keep that in mind . We definately wouldn't want to get too close to your off-road MACHINE in one of our average street trucks.

Ohh , wait I have a better idea. Maybe we can hire a helicopter to fly your rig out because I'm sure none of our rigs will even be able to get within cable distance of your beast.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I must agree with Mo, if we are to put on a professional independant event then we must put our best foot forward. I'm sure all the members feel that way.

Im going to bring my junk if everything works out.... I have done ZERO prep for a comp so Im in it for fun.  Rules only state "frame"  My truck was originally a 2wd and the frame is all stock  My tires are 38s so Im limited Big correct.   Heres a pic.  I cant enter if Im in the unlimited cuz basically.... I cant afford to

EDIT:  I guess to be more clear.. suspension mods of any sort are OK in this class. Its worded "frame from front axle to rear axle."  Doesnt say anything about suspension in that at all... just tryin to be clear before I spend the money I dont really have to do this

OK, I'm packed and ready to go.  I'm going to leave work about 3:00 and head that direction.  Are there going to be many people showing up today?

Patooyee won the buggy class and proud to say that the "yellow bastard" won the 37"+ class.... woohoo..

Awesome turnout... cant wait till next year! Got big plans!!!

THANKS TO ALL THE SPONSORS... BLUE TORCH FAB, SOUTHERN OFFROAD, OFFROAD CONNECTION, SCOTTS 4X4, AND OTHERS I MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN (It is late at nite...) Glad most if not all the comments ive heard were positive... only 2-3 complaints... but for the most part this comp kicked major a$$!

Thanks to RCRC, the Eutos, and everyone else that made this comp a success!!!

only complaint i could find was the exit road was more of a pain than the main trail, took my front tire out, ripped one shackle in half, tweaked the other, ripped a shock off.{thanks to whomever judge brought it to me} that is what kept me from a third time. but still had a good time.

My only complaint was that the tough lines weren't any quicker than the easy road that winded up to the top.  Consequently it got a little boring with everyone taking the easy line.  There should have been a time deduction for taking the harder lines, or just roped off the easy lines for the bigger classes.  The huge ledges should have been required.

1.5 seconds shouldnt be considered an a$$kickin chappy  i am glad i made both of the attempted runs and did good on both, or i probly would have caught some typical remarks from somone. and get your toyota done so i can come to summertown this labor day weekend  to show u how it is done. as long as i can fix my shackles, fans, tires, and diff guards, then i should make it.

Why wait till next year.Wait till the rocks get wet and you wont need but about half of the course to make a full day.We had a blast. Thanks to everyone behind this. There should be no complaints,If anyone would have just looked around you could see that all the yellow shirts were wide open all day. We're ready to come back anytime.I guess the only thing I need to know is where to send the bill for the 17" Trail Ready alum rim that has the big crack in it?Thanks again,Tim Carter
