Don't know anything about selling to International, but one of the conditions of Chrsler getting the bale out money is ending 4-wheel drive production after the 2010 model year.

I guess 2WD will still be made, but who wants a 2WD Rubicon?

Well John has always wanted a Yota.

The article I read didn't say that they were going to stop producing 4x4 jeeps. It said that they were working on a hybrid two wheel drive jeep, and that they would evenutally start working on a hybrid 4x4 jeep.

This is the article I found...

People will demand a 4x4 jeep, and if they can't see the 2WDs then they will find a way to make them 4x4s.

That 4x4 CJ is going to be worth a lot of money unless Obama makes us all retro-fit our jeeps back to 2wd.

LOL Over my dead body Dead...

It's only a 2WD when I spin a hub...the axle upgrades are almost done. We are just finishing the rear disk break conversion. Hopefully, I won't break the one piece shafts. Smile
