I am wanting to rhino line the inside tub of my CJ.  I have done the herculiner on another vehicle and didn't like the results.  I just want the black liner, nothing fancy.  There's a rhino liner place in decatur now from what I have heard and a place in huntsville.  A few of my buddies have gone to the one in huntsville and said it was a good place.  Has anyone heard anything about either of them? I'd rather go in Decatur but I want it done right so hutnsville wouldn't be a problem.  Also, has anyone had any had this done, and how much does it generally go for?  I would take everything out of the tub, but I'd rather them do the surface prep.  It says on there website from $300-$700 but thats a big difference.  Any input would be great

John,

If I was going to spend that kind of money I would also check with Linex or Speedliner. I've talked to people who didn't like the quality of the Rhino liner product.  I personally had Arma lining put in the bed of my Dodge truck, but unfortunately there aren't any Arma dealers anywhere close.  There is a Linex dealer in Decatur, check with them.

I checked with a place in priceville that does speedliner(Truckers Warehouse) and they said they only did truck beds and not jeep tubs.  They said it took too much time for them to do jeeps when they could crank out truck beds for more profit.

One of my friends had linex sprayed in his scout.  I really didnt like the way it looked.  To me, it looked like someone took black paint and sprinkled that no slip powder on it.  It just looked too grainny and not very proffessional.  I really like the rhino liner "coatability".  It really looks like it encases the metal to form a protective layer.

For the herculiner we pulled all the carpet out of the bronco, took some chemical, Xylene, or something like that and cleaned the entire surface,  Then we just rolled it on with their foam rollers.  We put on multiple thick coats.  It stayed nice for a few months but then just started peeling off in high traffic areas.  If I was going to do a fancy jeep , like yours, I would definitely do a proffessional job.
