I have an 07' Silverado classic with 17x9 wheels and 285/70 tires. I have no rub now and have cranked my torsion bars about half way. I am thinking about going to 35x12.5x17 tires and I am wondering if I should run a 4" or 6" suspension? I think they make a 3.5 also ... I also talked to one guy who had those tires with a 3" body but it looked a little cramped and Im not a big fan of body lifts

You can swap in Ford Torsion keys for a bit more lift if you want to do that as an option.  The torsion method has its pros and cons though.

Lift kits on the Chevy trucks are generally not cheap otherwise.
