stumbled on a deal at 4wheelparts.  Smittybilt's 9.5k synthetic winch rope is down to $100 for who knows how long.  I think it's their previous version but who cares.  They normally run $250.  Plus it's free shipping.  I already jumped on it.

we should have plenty of steel cable for Paul's zip line after this deal!  I know I need to offload mine now.  Is it something that people are looking to buy or should I look to recycle?

Oh yeah!  That sounds like a plan.  Except for that bump you gotta get over every 150' of the zip line.

I'm sure there is some way to weld it together end to end and make it smooth.  We'll just get Paul to go first to test the theory.
