I read somewhere that my vintage Wrangler may have a warranty issue with the left head (as I recall) - how can I tell if I have a problem? I have a burned oil smell but the oil level is fine...

on some of those engines, the left head will wear the valve seats out with the use of poor fuel and heavy driving-(what ever that means). In most cases a ticking sound can be heard and your check engine light will stay on

OK, thanks! I don't hear a ticking sound. My check engine light comes on every once in a while but I think it is the gas cap. Although it may come on when we are going up/down hills... Is there an engine code that I can check for when it comes on? Any threads on this somewhere you know of (I've searched)...
