My Jeep is doing something weird.  It will start sputtering with no power, but it does it at  inconsistent speeds.  Sometimes it does it at slow speed and other times it will do it when you're doing over 50 mph.  Any ideas what could cause this.

Mine did that until I had Danny replace my camshaft positioning sensor a few weeks ago.

I checked it with my scanner, but it didn't give me any codes.

Did he replace the camshaft position sensor or the crankshaft position sensor?  I didn't realize the had a camshaft position sensor.

The "cam" sensor in the older 4.0s is a distributor pickup. They can cause what you're describing as well as a bunch of other stuff.
