We needed a d60 diff cover and all of our suppliers were at least two weeks out. We decided to make one from raw materials. We cut the ring out on our cnc plasma table. We drilled the bolt pattern with our cnc mill as the plasma doesn't do very well on holes the same diameter as the thickness. I should have remembered to take more pictures. We bolted the ring to the axle and fit the front plate first.

We made a threaded insert and the other two side plates. Then I welded it up.

I hadn't milled it when I posted pictures but I planned to. We milled the face of the cover today. It definitely had some welding warp. It was around 0.030" out of flat.

Me thinks the club should buy some photo hosting storage on Fototime. I have stotage on there and it costs me $24/year and im only using 10 percent of it.

We can make that happen. I really need to go back and replace my pictures due to photobucket.

I have many thousands of photos on there and still more storage space than I will ever use left. Also you can do batch uploads, so it it easy to upload a lot of photos.

Why, when we have a huge amount of storage available on the existing website, already paid for?

And why would *anyone* pay for Fototime when services like Google are free?  Google drive gives you 15GB for free.  And when that fills up, simply create another account and start over again.
