I'm asking for support on this. This bill which was originally passed back in 1994 by the state that stated patients could go to any doctor they wanted and their insurance would pay exactly the same. Blue Cross and others fought this and in 1998, the judges rulled the insurance companies didn't have to follow the law. Why is this important? Insurance companies want all doctors under their fee control so they can lower the amount they have to pay out for each procedure. These contracts allow the insurance companies to lower reimbursements at any time. This makes a big conflict of interest by the doctors that know what you need but know they won't get paid. So, the doctors order something else that the insurance company will pay for and will prevent a malpractice suit. All of this is making some doctors leave the state or retire-not good. Fewer doctors mean access problems during an emergency. Blue cross will fight this because they have a monopoly in this state ,operate as a nonprofit eventhough CEO made 6 mil This newer bill has wording change from 1994 original that should prevent judges from overturning as before. Thanks
