Jeep carnage from coalmine this weekend. We were riding back to the cabin got in a slight bind, heard a loud pop, and this is what we found.

not sure what that is althought it looks like the gears out of an axle housing?

OUCH!

Was the jeep locked?

the bigger question is how did you get to go up coalmine with the gates on both sides?  I tried to go the other day but I had no key so no ride

Thats the diff in the front housing broke in half and no it was unlocked. Dont have a clue why it broke unless it has been damage for a long while. He didnt have in a bad bind at all we were just coming up out of a mud hole and POP there goes the diff
