I just replaced the serpentine belt on my Cherokee and the FSM says to adjust the belt tension to 180-200 lbs force. How and where do you measure it? My Cherokee has a tension adjustment bolt on the idler pulley so it's not spring loaded.

Bob,
I've never used a belt tension gage. I generally just get them snug and tighten them up some more if they squeek.

I have heard the following wisdom with serpentine belts: you find the longest span of belt, and you should be able to *almost* turn the belt 90 degree in the middle of the span.
