Chuck Fleischmann is the current Representative from 3rd Congressional District in Tennessee, where I am a landowner.  I got this note from him today:
I am pleased to inform you that the Fleischmann Amendment, a provision that defunds one of the President's unconstitutional gun grabs, was included in legislation that recently passed the House and Senate and will soon be signed into law. This is a significant victory for antique gun collectors, competitive marksmen and all gun rights supporters. If we did not respond aggressively, the President's actions would have set a dangerous precedent threatening the Second Amendment.

Last year, when President Obama used executive action to ban the re-importation of antique firearms like the M-1 Garand, I fought back.  I got over 60 of my colleagues to join me in sending a letter to the President asking that he reverse his anti-gun action. President Obama didn't change his mind, but I kept up the fight, writing a provision that strips his Administration of funding to enforce the gun grab.

The passage of the Fleischmann Amendment will allow the long-standing traditions of collecting our country's antique weaponry and competitive marksmanship to continue unimpeded. I am a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and will continue to stand up against any efforts to prevent law-abiding Americans from responsibly exercising their gun rights.

Sincerely,

[signed]

Chuck Fleischmann

Good. We need more people in Washington that support the constitution.
